Villagers in Garo Hills unearth ancient coins

About 8 metal coins, bricks and several wares made of clay were found while the villagers were digging a pond few weeks back. The coins bore Arabic inscriptions and could be from the Mughal era. However, the villagers have sold most of the coins..
