WITH THE advent of TV, people like me have hardly visited any cinema hall for watching a movie. In movies, we found stories, events, etc, which always were discounted as a mere imagination of film makers out to ensure commercial success of films. What the movies depicted was never accepted by us if it was inconsistent with our way of life, ideology or our value system. However, TV, especially the programmes based on crime reporting, have shattered all our ideologies and convictions and landed us in a world of strange and hard-to-believe facts about human behaviour. Truth it is, they say; truth is stranger than fiction.
We, the people, whom Allah refers to as the “superior creation" have violated all norms of ethics and deteriorated to a level where I personally feel that animals are more rational and natural than people.
