INTERNATIONAL NURSES Day is being observed across the world today with the theme 'Closing The Gap: Increasing Access and Equity'. The main objective is to appreciate the contributions made by nurses towards building a healthy society and to provide quality health care to patients.
Throughout the world, the International Nurses Week is celebrated from May 6 to 12 and each year, and on this day a prayer service is held at Westminster Abbey in London. As part of the service, a ceremonial lamp, which is obtained from the Nurses' Chapel and handed over to nurses, who then give it to the Dean, who places it on the High Altar. Continoue Reading….
